Guidelines for the Ohio State New Zealand Rabbit Breeders Association Scholarship Fund
1. This fund will be controlled by the Ohio State New Zealand Rabbit Breeders Association.
2. All assets of this fund will be raised by voluntary contributions and fund raisers independent of OSNZRBA finances.
3. Assets of this fund will not be used for any purpose other than awarding scholarships to qualified club members.
4. The amount and number of scholarships will be determined by the board of directors of the OSNZRBA.
5. All assets of this fund will be maintained by the secretary of the OSNZRBA.
6. A financial report of this fund will be included in the OSNZRBA financial reports.
7. Scholarships will be paid by the OSNZRBA secretary after approval of the OSNZRBA board of directors.
8. Scholarships will be awarded when sufficient funds are available.
9. Scholarships will be awarded as equally and fairly as possible.
10. The OSNZRBA scholarship committee will consist of three members, a chairperson and the secretary and the secretary of the OSNZRBA.
11. The scholarship committee will be responsible for application forms and selection of scholarship recipient(s).
12. The selected recipient(s) will be announced at the OSNZRBA spring show.
13. Applications will not be accepted from any applicant(s) with a family member on the scholarship committee at the time the application would be considered.
14. Names and addresses will be removed from applications before they are sent to scholarships committee members for consideration to insure fairness.
15. Scholarships will be paid to the recipient(s) upon satisfactory completion of their first semester of extended education.
16. Any application found to be containing false, fraudulent or inaccurate information will disqualify the applicant immediately.
17. In case of a tie, the OSNZRBA scholarship committee will revote only on the tied recipients, and if still tied, the scholarship tie will be broken by a vote from the President of the OSNZRBA, or a person selected by the President if he has a family member applying for a scholarship.

2. Applicants must be graduating high school senior or in their first year of continued education.
3. If a applicant does not receive a scholarship from the first application made to the OSNZRBA they will be allowed to apply one additional time for the next year's scholarship(s).
4. One scholarship per person. NO EXCEPTIONS.
5. Completed application forms must be submitted to the OSNZRBA scholarship committee chairperson no later than April 1 of current year.
6. Applicants must be enrolled in a accredited college, university, vocational, or trade school.
